My little girl would do this from 6 weeks old 🙈 it's was so stressful, but I was told as long as that can roll back, then it's ok, and she could. So i stopped worrying and she was the best sleeper. Then as she was more mobile she slept on her front and has always been a front or side sleeper since.
I did us a cylindrical little bolster cushion that she could stabilise herself on and she also liked to sleep with her face smushed up to the side of the crib. Just to give me an extra heart attack lol
@Bryonie I have been doing that but oh okay thank you
Take the blanket out from underneath her, she should be on a firm flat mattress with just a thin fitted sheet. If this was to scrunch up in front of her face it's a suffocation risk. As for curling on their side, it's the newborn scrunch and they'll stop as they stretch out a bit 😊
My midwife told me to roll a blanket and put it to the side under his arm when my LO would do this. He’s 15 months now but it helped until he could roll himself properly
I just wanted to comment to say awww she’s so beautiful! I miss those tiny days! 🥰
My 9 month old will only fall asleep on his side!
Sometimes it’s just how they are most comfortable. My bump was always lop sided with my son lying to the side Didn’t change when he was born. He’d always roll bk 10m on still lies same way
Hi. My baby girl also loves to sleep on her side. I think the best way is to just keep her unswaddled so she can move herself if she ends up on her belly.
I have no tips but oh my gosh she is adorable
@Laura-louise that’s what she did too and plus that’s how I sleep so I just think she has that trait from me
@Charley when we take the blanket out she cries and fusses and doesn’t even try to sleep unless it’s there
@Nicole Maxwell unfortunately it's not safe, as it's a suffocation risk it really needs to not be there. The lullaby trust are pretty clear with their guidance on safe sleep spaces.
You could try removing the blanket but warming her bed with a heating pad before putting her down. Maybe the blanket just makes the surface less cold.

@Meghan i have done this to and she wakes up like in a few when we put her down
My LB did that too. Just gently roll them back on their back. She's still in scrunch mode which can make them turn to their side. She'll probably grow out of it 🖤
