Breast feeding

Apparently it's normal for babies to have preferred sides. Could be various reasons like baby's positioning, milk flow, nipple shape, latch even. Mine had a preferred side at some stage, but he now feeds from both x

I’ve always had this! I can only really feed from from right so as he hates feeding from the left. I express off the left side and if I’m at home I battle with him to feed off of it!

I'm there. I've always alternated each feed with no real issues until this week. Suddenly she's crying before I've even tried to latch one side. Occasionally she'll accept it. I just keep offering that one first 🤷

@Raluca what did u do in the mean time when ur baby only fed from one side? And how did u get them back to both? She’s only started doing this for two days now

I'm trying to figure out if leaning forward helps. It's the side that I think has a slower let down but I don't know if that makes sense with crying prior to attempting to latch 🤷

Pumped the other one if needed to avoid engorgement and kept offering both breasts at each feed. He eventually started to feed from both again, but I have no clue why or how I managed that 😅
