How long does your LO stay on the boob?

Anything between 5-40 is normal. My first daughter used to stay on for 30+ but I felt like it was comfort. My second daughter is very efficient for most feeds and tends to be done after 10 minutes. I guess every baby is different

My boy is usually only on for about 10 mins, sometimes less. And he's put on plenty of weight so he must be getting enough! He does feed very often though 🙈

Next time he feeds make sure the room is quiet and listen and watch to see if he’s swallowing on every suck. He might just be getting very efficient at feeding now and just not need to be on longer. Our 4 week old only does about 5-10 minutes of productive feeding and he’s been gaining weight. Any issues with nappies reducing? Speak to your midwife if it’ll help and go to a weigh clinic maybe too and you’ll see if he’s gaining well still :) x

Its usually 10 mins per boob for me but I know it can't vary wildly! He could have just got more efficient at getting the milk out do your boobs feel empty after he feeds? My LO has defo reduced her time on the boob! Also if you're worried for any reason undress them to wake them up and put them back on (I had to do this at the start at LO was loosing too much weight and we had to go on a feeding plan). But tbh if they are putting on weight normally I wouldn't worry (easier said than done)
