Weaning off EBF

My baby is currently 7 months old and has been exclusively breast fed for 7 months. He won't take a bottle or a dummy. I am exhausted with breast feeding and really would like to wean him off. I have tried MAM bottles but he has refused them. Anybody have any tips on how I can get him to take a bottle? Or any bottles in particular that are similar to a breast. Any help would be appreciated. I am one tired mum, and returning back to work soon.

At that age you’re quite unlikely/ it’s much harder to get them to take a bottle as the sucking reflex they’re born with has gone and sucking a bottle is a totally different skill to nursing which they just don’t have. Have you tried an open or straw cup? You’re likely to have more success although my now 17 month old has never accepted milk except directly from the breast 🤦🏽‍♀️ x

My girl stopped taking a bottle around 4m, tried her last week at 8m and she took it no problem. I think they go through a resistance stage. We used a size 2 teat so it came out quickly when in her mouth so she could tell it was my milk. We warmed the milk up first. Not tried them myself but I’ve heard lansinoh teats are good for bf babies and they fit on the mam bottles x
