Step Count with Pram

Hey girls My watch doesn't pick up my steps when pushing the pram! Very annoying but thought I found the solution when I started to use an app on my phone instead and had my phone in my coat pocket. ..but now it's getting warmer and I don't have a pocket for my phone. Has anybody found a good way to track steps?

I have a lanyard for my phone when I need to carry it without pockets !

I strap my watch to my ankle when I push the pram 🤣🤣

I've done a lot of stroller walking... If i can't hear my podcast with the phone in my pants pocket and I'm not wearing a coat, I've definitely just put it down my shirt. So, in the bra, basically. 🤣 The shirt mostly covers it, and it puts the mic near my face, which is good for talking on the phone. Just face it with the screen out, or you'll push buttons... I tried an armband, but it's too tight for my phone, and too inconvenient for playing and pausing a podcast. I was doing a few miles per day, so definitely didn't want to miss those steps.

U can also buy a pouch thing that means it will count the steps. Not helpful that I don’t know the name of the pouch. But I’m sure they all do a similar job

I have a waist bag/running belt that I use on walks. I bought a bigger one so I can store my phone, my keys, and a pack of hand sanitizing wipes in case we go to the park or touch anything gross.

Get a cute bum bag and put your phone in there. Or get an old school pedometer on Ama and clip that to your waist. I did 18k steps on Friday being out all day just walking, shocked the hell out me I was able to hit that much 😂

Actually, it should? I just walked to pick up my boy from school and I had my hands in my pocket jacket the whole time and it still counted my steps…I think w the bobbing up and down motion. Or you can walk w one handed pushing the pram if it really doesn’t count your steps. I wasn’t swinging my arms and it still counted

I noticed this when pushing the trolly around the supermarket so I started pushing it with one are and letting my watch arm swing, now I have one are that’s super strong 😂
