C sec vs VBAC

Hi ladies, I had an elective c sec for my first baby in 2022 (quite a traumatic pregnancy so wanted as much control as poss). I’ve never believed I could labour naturally as it utterly terrifies me! Everyone has horror stories. I’d like to try to retrain my mind and embrace a VBAC….feel a long way off it at the mo but with a toddler the potential bounce back post giving birth is really appealing? Any advice/thoughts?

I had an emergency c-section for my 2024 baby, i’m planning to do a vbac this time. At my booking appointment i was referred to a VBAC clinic who i will meet with to discuss and get support for a vbac, it’s worth finding out if that support is available near you too so you have someone knowledgable to talk to and ease your mind x

I had a planned section for my first pregnancy as my baby girl was breech and I’m going for a VBAC this time round. I was told at my booking appointment that I would be a good candidate. I just want to prove to myself that I can do it! But I have said to my midwife the baby and my health comes first so if in the end I need another section, then that’s what we will do! But I’m really hoping for a VBAC x

I know there are plenty of ladies in the ‘home birth support group uk’ who’ve VBACed - even if home birth isn’t for you it’s a great place for birth stories in the group guides

Try following your_vbac_power on Instagram! Reach out to a local doula - many offer power hour sessions and they may be quite well experienced with supporting VBACs in your area 🥰
