@Jolene why did they refuse ? I have too see consultant next week xx
I have my appointment with consultant tomorrow to discuss elective section. As I understand it, my area certainly, you don't get the date until much closer -usually a week or 2 beforehand..
My previous trust gave you your date once you reached around 36/37 weeks but on the basis that it could change depending on availability. I’m now living in London and the consultant here said if I wanted an elective section (which I’m not opting for) they could give me a date now x
I was told by my consultant at 16 weeks it would be 36 weeks for my date however I am not sure if that will change to my 32 weeks appointment with GD and going on to insulin x
I had elective with my first and now again for my second. In my area it was the week before the due date and they only did elective c sections on a Tuesday or a Thursday. Although even at the pre op they were warning me it could change at any point based on what is happening and other emergencies that came in.
I had an appointment at 29 weeks with a consultant and they booked me in for my elective then and there for 39 weeks x
@Jolene under NICE guidelines they're not allowed to tell you how to give birth!
I got my date around 25 weeks pregnant after speaking to a consultant about growth scans and gestational diabetes tests.
My c-section has been booked since January for when I turn 39 weeks. I'll be getting my official date at my 36 week appointment.
They refused mine on health grounds. Going to ask for induction for health reasons and see them on Wednesday. I believe you should get a date for a c section once you've gone past 32 weeks but could differ from trust to trust. X
