Sleeping through the night?

My little boy is nine weeks today! He’s started to sleep through the night (anywhere between 7-8.5 hours), is this normal for his age? I’ve tried to implement a routine since day one so he knows the difference between day time and night time sleep! Anyone else’s nine week old doing the same? X

My boy has slept through the night since 7 weeks, he’s now 12 weeks and doing 11 hours at night! We are very lucky haha xx

Completely normal. Mine started around 7 weeks (she’s now 11 weeks) sleeping from 11-7. She would go longer stretches but I wake her at 7 when her dad gets up for work so she can be changed and fed and see him before he goes. She then goes back down around 8/8:30 (usually falls asleep on the boob) and sleeps til around 10/10:30

Normal my 9 week old wakes up for one bottle enjoy the sleep 💗💗

Also same my boy wakes once goes from 9ish until 5 then again till 7am then we are up for the day he is 10 weeks

My one is 11 weeks and during the daytime feeds every 1.30hrs to 2hrs and at night 3hrs to 3.30hrs. He is 5kg (11 pounds). Each feed is a 120ml (4.2 OZ) of breast milk through the bottle. Can you all please share your routine/tips on how you do it to help them sleep longer? Thanks

@Thilanka we don’t typically have a routine. We follow her cues. She typically naps on one of us from about 8:30 until we go up to bed around 9:45-10:15. She’s then changed into her PJs, nappy change and breastfed to sleep. She sleeps on me until we’re ready to turn the TV off and actually sleep and then I transfer her to the next to me. On bath nights, it’s slightly earlier as we start bath-time around 8:30 but she still is asleep by 11/11:30 and sleeps through. I don’t think we’ll implement an actual routine until around 5 months as she won’t be sleeping in a room we are not in (as per NHS guidelines) until 6 months anyway.

So normal! My girl has been sleeping 10-7 since about 6 weeks and she is now 12 weeks. No wake ups for a feed. I sometimes change her bum if she is fidgeting lots but otherwise she sleeps through x

@Anna could you please share your routine 🙏🏼

Someone tell me your secrets 😂 our boy falls asleep after feeding between 9:30-10:30, wakes up at 1 and then at 4! He’s 9 weeks old x

@Holly we don’t do too much to be honest but we have a White noise machine set to the rain sound, we also have a colour changing bulb in our room that is set to red (apparently it’s more comforting for them). First we change his happy and put his baby lotion on, the put him in a fresh vest and sleep suit and then into his sleeping bag. We then move to our room where we give him his bottle (we give him slightly more than normal) and then hold him until his very drowsy but not totally asleep and then careful but him into his next to me. It’s not much at all but it really works for us, we’ve done this since day one. I think the main help is making sure the house is bright and noisy during the day and quiet and dark during night time xx

@Anna what time do you ‘put him to bed’ and what time does he nap to / from before that? How long does he go between feeds in the day? X
