Depends on the type of feeding you are going to want to do really
Is there a reason you need to formula feed on top of breastfeeding?
I would suggest formula and pumping at night. If the intent is to combo feed. That way you can build your supply if you're ever away from baby during the day
I think there's more questions than answers, because this type of thing is very personal and you just kind of end up figuring it out on your own according to baby and you and your lifestyle. This isn't something you can really plan until you figure out your baby's feeding patterns, if they're gassy or not, if breastfeeding tires you out, etc. Just know that your breast milk supply depends on how much your baby wants to eat and when, and if you do formula feedings as well as trying to breastfeed then you may end up losing your supply then ultimately be strictly formula fed. If you intend to pump, then pump while you're feeding your baby formula so your milk stays on schedule and keeps up the supply. Remember to not put your pump on a heavy setting and try to match it to your baby's natural pressure or your breast milk flow may end up becoming too fast and too much for baby. I'd say out of everything you can stress about, don't stress about this. You'll figure it out naturally after baby is born.
Are you intending on combo feeding from the start? Or do you have the intention to either breastfeed or formula feed exclusively eventually?
