A hard bit on your baby bump?

Has anyone else experienced this? The last couple of hours every now and again a hard rock comes up on my bump on the right hand side ..is this my baby’s head or should I be worried and is it a hernia or fibroid or something? I’m only 19w3d which makes me think how can it possibly be the baby? But then also who knows as I do have a posterior placenta?!

I’ve a posterior placenta and I’m 22weeks. Baby’s kicks are super strong. From what you’ve described I’d say it’s babies head because I can’t see it being anything else. Or could be babies bottom. Definitely wouldn’t worry x

Baby is about 25cm long head to heel at the moment so they are probably bigger than you think. And it will likely be the head. I have a posterior placenta too and definitely feel like I can feel babies head from time to time. And it’s similar, feels like a hard spot or something hard pushing up / out.

I have this a lot, I assume it’s just baby, I had it with my first too and it was braxton hicks but that was when pretty much my whole belly went hard here and there lol

If you’re worried, say something at your 20 week scan or next midwife appointment, as long as it’s not cramping then I doubt it’s an issue

I’ve had this a few times from about 20 weeks so I called my midwife and she said it is most probably baby moving around. I also have a posterior placenta so I can feel her wriggle.

I have this! I have a posterior placenta too, i just put it down to being baby’s head or bum because it seems to move around from left to right where she wiggles around

Thank you as always ladies ..you’re all so lovely responding to my worries ♥️
