Light sleeper

My 2 month old has been sleeping well from 9pm-2 am. When he wakes up at 2 am for his bottle, he is fussy and refuses to sleep. He only falls back asleep when I have him laying in bed next to me. I don’t want to do this because I know it can be dangerous to co-sleep but some nights I’m so exhausted that it just happens. Does anyone use a sleep baby lounger for situations like this?

Baby loungers are much more dangerous than safely cosleeping. I would recommend looking into the safe sleep 7 and visiting the lullaby trust’s website.

I don’t think cosleeping is dangerous if done right, it’s the most normal thing to do for every mammal

I’ve been co-sleeping with my baby intermittently or placing him in the bassinet. I don’t see a problem, especially since after becoming a mom, I’m extremely aware—even when I’m asleep. I can sense even the smallest movement, heavy breathing, or crying. He sleeps about 3–4 hours when he’s next to me. Trust your instincts, mama. You got this! ❤️

When you think about it, at a certain point of sleep deprivation, the safe 7 cosleeping practice IS the safest way to take care of a baby. Otherwise you risk accidentally falling asleep in far more dangerous situations. Better to do the next best thing to bassinet sleeping 100% well then try to be perfect and slip into much worse territory when you fall short. We’re human, and Babies are far more regulated by a mama. It’s inevitable, Better to do it right imo💗good luck
