I agree it could be part of the 4 month regression. We’re 7 weeks in and still going 😅 a big part of the sleep regression is difficulty connecting sleep cycles so they fully wake up after each cycle and if they can’t self settle again, they will cry out for your help. How does he settle to sleep at the moment? 6pm is potentially quite an early bedtime and he might now be treating that first section as a nap? From what I’ve read, bedtime between 7-8pm is recommended at this age so it could be worth trying that :) xx
We’ve noticed this, it’s normally after 45 minutes which is linked to how long a sleep cycle is. Keep being consistent and it should get easier 💖
Yep we're on nearly a month of constant waking, 30 minute naps, difficulty settling and putting back down. It's exhausting and every baby gets over it in a different time frame so there's no way of knowing how long it will last 😩
Probably having a growth spurt and need milk my son does this
@Elesse never heard that it usually doesn't take a week? Most people seem to be weeks and weeks 😭
Might be he needs a longer wake window before bed as is treating it like a nap rather than bedtime. Try putting him down a bit later x
This sounds like the 4 month sleep regression — it’s so hard! We’ve been told it usually doesn’t last more than a week, but can be up to a month in rarer cases. We’ve found that having a dummy helps SO much, even though baby didn’t take to until very recently. And now it helps her stay calm and sometimes go right back to sleep even after she wakes up. We also recently started tracking sleep in the Huckleberry app. This may help down the line so we can understand baby’s sleep patterns and get advice. Good luck!!
