Reduced movements?

I can’t tell if I’m over thinking it or my baby has now just levelled out with a pattern but up until probably a week ago the baby had been moving semi regularly throughout the day, more so after food and it was like a little dance machine in the evenings. I mentioned to my midwife last Wednesday that on the Tuesday I thought I’d felt it a little less than usual and then on Saturday I decided to go up and get checked out. He/she isn’t moving quite as much or as strongly as it had been previously. I felt the same Sunday and same yesterday and today, I’m 29+2 could my baby possibly have just changed pattern? I obviously want to make sure little one is ok but also don’t want to waste time as I know he/she is in there and moving just not quite as much as it had done!

They would rather you go in for nothing than not go in and have it be something

Please get your baby checked every single time!!!😭😭 I’ve just lost mine at 32 weeks. THIS IS PAIN!

@Jane Bernard so so sorry to hear this. That’s definitely given me a nudge

If you’re concerned at all always get it checked. If it’s any reassurance I had/have this also, I was checked and all okay. The bigger they get their movements start to change, less kicks etc and more rolls and stretching. For me I’ve found it’s a lot less pronounced in the way of jabs etc that I can feel and more wiggles.

@Rosie I think it’s more that it’s been like this over a number of days and I have been up and everything was fine so just wondering if it’s just the new norm for my little one! I can still feel him/her moving but more that it’s changing sides as opposed to kicks itself!

@Maddie I think that’s pretty normal, they say babies don’t have a ‘stabilised pattern’ till 32 weeks. And even then no two days are going to be the same.

My little boy had no pattern whatsoever...some days he'd go crazy and then other days were completely different. I was up at triage a fair bit towards the end just because I was worrying about him. Turned out one time I went his heart rate was over 200 on the ctg for an hour but I couldn't even feel him so I ended up getting checked more and they induced me a few days later

Thanks for your replies, little one hasn’t left me alone all evening this evening doing lots of moving 😅 feeling much better about it now!
