Stressed

I’m thinking about stopping breastfeeding.. I’m way too stressed out taking care of baby plus cleaning up after everyone including myself. I’m not producing much and my baby is getting rashes. I’m starting to think it’s something I’m eating but I’m wayyy too tired to change my diet. Am I being selfish? When have yall stop breastfeeding I know it’s ideal to do at least 3 months and she just turned 2.. am I being selfish?

Girl I stopped after two weeks. Do not feel bad you did it as long as you could. As long as baby is fed and healthy that’s all that matters

@Sam wow! Is ur baby happy and healthy? And what formula are u using? See, the people in my life has pressure me so much on the benefits that now it’s hard for me to let go of BF. But I strongly believe our mental health matters too!!

i honestly feel like its definitely a feeling most people go through maybe your just over stimulated with all that your doing , as well as taking care of the baby which can maybe be causing the lack of produce , sometimes we just need to take time for our selfs and wind down a little maybe it can help , breastfeeding is definitely not easy but its amazing bonding moment for you & baby .. i would also recommend speaking to your doctor about the rash it can be from many things with them being so brand new…you got this though

Gosh that’s also what I needed to hear I’m in the same boat, my little is about to turn 3 months and I just don’t have enough milk for her, I’m starting to combo feed (she also gets a rash after I have anything with peanuts in it)

I struggled those 2 weeks I was exhausted I wasn’t producing enough milk it was very stressful so making the switch helped a lot I used Enfamil gentleease neuropro he gains weight like he’s supposed to and eats just fine

Take it one day at a time? Your mental health matters more than breastfeeding! ! Fed is best! You not being selfish at all

The fact you even have been breastfeeding is amazing. Any amount of time is a big deal. Give your self grace it’s ok to stop.

@Nayalee thanks for ur input! I can bond with my girl in other ways, I’m so grateful that I have a deep love for her I was really scared of pp depression.. but thankfully it’s not AS bad. Just an overwhelming feel yk. But yeah I’ll def talk to the doctors

@Terése yeah I’m slowly loosing my mind over here lol I love formula I love that it keeps my girl full for a long period of time with BM it’s every hour. I’m combo feeding! For me she gets hungry every two hours but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to feed her formula every two hours. I mix both in a bottle. How do you combo feed?

@Sam I have a whole tub of gentle ease that I used twice. I know it’s effy to use something that open, but if u want u can have it ☺️ My sister also didn’t produce enough and stuck with formula- she made up for it by feeding her kids fruits and veggies, they eat healthier than me lol

@Meagan thanks love 💗 the reassurance I needed. Definitely hard to cut it off completely- overthinking kills lol

@Naya 😍

@Stephanie she’s on a growth spurt right now so I have been breast feeding to start at every feed (feeds are every hour and a half to two hours right now sometimes three hour stretches at night 😵‍💫) and if I feel like my milk just wasn’t enough to satisfy her I’ll offer 2 to 3 oz of formula in a bottle or if I have any pumped milk in the fridge (none lately) I would add that after her feed. I’ve been chugging mothers milk tea when I can and taking a postnatal called milkies (when I remember to) this all helps but I still end up giving her at least two bottles of formula a day
