I lived on milk and love heart sweets. It took the edge off it. Also if you can prop the head end of your bed up x
Hey its so horrible having this but i feel that after any meal sitting up right with your back striaght and pillows propped behind me helps for atleast 2 hours after eating, also drinking water sipping on it after meals, try avoid gassy juice when its at its worst, things like pasta and toast is good to eat when its bad too. Also i sleep upright at night due to how bad it gets with pillows behind me & have a cup of hot water a day helps the digestive system clear too hope these tips help. My heart burn is daily & has been full pregnancy & this is what i need to do to help It im now in 3rd tri x
I also use mint halls or chew chewing gum which feel helps x
I suffered with this with both pregnancies and it was horrendous to the point where I was throwing up. Sleep sitting up until you can get to your GP. Get them to prescribe omeprazole itâs amazing. I didnât listen to people in my first pregnancy and just carried on buying Gaviscon and suffering but this has been a game changer. I havenât felt a thing for weeks now until I forgot to take it the other day. So I know itâs deffo working!
I got Omeprazole from the GP and itâs amazing, completely cured it. I was also really struggling.
So so horrible I was up most of the night on Monday with heartburn/ acid reflux I bought gaviscon from the pharmacy yesterday and it helped, also battling with a cold at the same time đ”âđ«
The pharmacist said if it lasts more than a week then go to the GP for a prescription
You can get tablets which stop your stomach producing so much acid. Ask the midwife or GP. The tablets are amazing

Iâm also dealing with this hell. Currently having to down 500 ml water and make myself sick then do that twice to like wash out the acid and only then will it stop. I was getting through gallons of gaviscon previously but I suspect that was making the acid production higher. Itâs absolutely miserable though. If you havenât tried omeprazole you could speak to gp about getting that. it slows down stomach production of acid and it worked wonders for me but seemed to wear off after a week or so but a lot of people swear by it. đ©·đ©·
