I've had to get drops twice as it wouldn't clear up on it's own. The 2nd time the doctor said it would clear up on its own but took a swab and then called by a week later to say she needed drops to clear it as the swab came back positive. It's a nightmare trying to get them in.
@Vicky yeah that’s my worry.. I’ve had it as an adult a few times and I’ve needed antibiotics every time, trying to get a drs appointment though in my area is ridiculous 🫠
My little one didn't need anti biotic. We just used cooled boiled water and cotton pads and wiped from the corner of each eye outwards a couple of times and you do this 4 times a day. If you don't see improvements after a few days or your little one is miserable with it I'd go to a walk in centre or gp x
I got "golden eye" from the Chemist
If it's for a little one, you should be getting an appointment straight away. My GPs are a nightmare for me to get an appointment, but I can normally get one within 2 days for my little girl.
We just bath it with warm water and cotton wool pads.
Mine wouldn’t give drops, he’s had it twice and just got told to keep cleaning them with cotton pads and cooled boiled water x
Yes my lo had it and cleared up after about 4 days x
Yeah my little boy has it round Xmas time just in one eye, wasn't too bad of a case and we just let it clear up on its own
