Waters broke?

Honestly don't feel silly phoning up they would rather see u every day for a false alarm than you sit at home worrying or ignoring it! There's obviously a chance they may have gone and best to get that confirmation 😊 good luck xx

Have you put a pad on to see if it gets wet

Yeah I’ve soaked through 4 pads in the past couple hours! I’ve rang triage and they’ve told me to go in to be checked, I’ve had no pains or contractions though x

Sounds like your waters this time! It can take time for contractions to start. 😊

Yeah definitely my waters! Still in triage at the moment, they’ve said they can start me on the hormone drip to bring labour on or wait 18 hours from when my waters first broke and if nothings happened in that time at home then to come back in to start labour, I’ve decided to go with the second option, don’t see the point in forcing it right now and going through the pain of the hormone drip when it could happen naturally within the next 12 hours x

Once your on the monitor you'll be able to see if there's contractions that you might not be feeling just yet (fingers crossed anyway, that's what happened for me first time). Waters broke 6pm and by 3am contractions had properly started. Baby was born 9.30pm the next day. Hope it all goes well x

@Ruth they didn’t say anything about the results from the monitor😂 they monitored baby, gave me the two options and then said I’m ok to go🙈 I’m starting to get some pains now though x

@Eliza I’m ok thank you! Getting more pains recently but not very close together, even though it’s baby number 2 I feel more nervous/scared this time round😂 I was hoping to try get an early night to get some rest but I’ve been non stop doing washing, tidying the rooms, haven’t put the Moses basket together yet so was attempting that until my boyfriend persuaded me to just leave it and he will sort it 😂 finally lay down in bed now! X

Also, I find it so weird with waters breaking. With my first baby I had a tiny little trickle come down my leg in the hospital lift and that was it, this time round I honestly haven’t stopped leaking since 1 o’clock this afternoon!! I’ve gone through soooo many pads, underwear and pj bottoms😂 I’ve started wearing the adult diapers I got for after giving birth and I’m even leaking through them🙈
