They will be unlikely to want to do anything until 38/39 weeks, unless something is medically impacting the baby or you. I know that’s going to be disappointing news, sorry. You should still talk to your midwife and let them know how you’re feeling. It’s important they know that you’re struggling maybe they can find other ways to support you. Perhaps you and your midwife can come up with plan for a certain number of weeks if you haven’t give birth by then- having a plan for a fixed date might help you mentally.
Them last few weeks are the absolute worst, once baby is here you’ll feel a million times better try and get baby out yourself!!!
It’s worth asking for sure. They were talking about inducing me at 37 weeks for high blood pressure if it was either not controlled or if it turned into pre-eclampsia. Obviously they are medical conditions so is different. They may offer it at 39 weeks though x
37 weeks it what they term a full term baby so they will wait till then to minimise risks for the baby Worth asking if they can induce u post that.
Consider asking for a referral to obstetrics physio to try to help with the pain, I also recommend a support band for the bump and a pregnancy pillow, you got this! X
You can definitely ask to be induced, it’s your choice. but they usually won’t do it before 39-40 weeks unless there’s a medical reason. That being said, you need to tell your midwife exactly how you’re feeling—like the pain, breathlessness, and how autism makes it harder to cope. They might not agree to an early induction straight away, but they could offer a sweep at 37-38 weeks to help move things along. Also, ask them about pain relief options because you shouldn’t have to just suffer through this. The last few weeks are brutal, but don’t be afraid to push for support
They won’t even consider an induction if your under 37 weeks anyway, and still do their best to keep baby in till you go into labour naturally if there’s no medical risk to you or baby. Pains are totally normal unfortunately, they won’t take that into consideration as it’s baby’s development that will be at risk due to you not being able to handle the pain. They still don’t like to offer an induction till 39 weeks if baby is presenting small or too big unless it’s a big risk to either of your lives x
