Body changes

Has anyone else noticed after giving birth that there vagina feels a little heavier šŸ™ˆ canā€™t tell if I have a UTI or Thrush but I know I feel different. I donā€™t have any pain while going to the toilet I just have a heavy feeling kind of like I havenā€™t emptied my bladder fully. Iā€™ve never had a UTI or anything before so unsure if it have one or not the same with thrush. Sorry for the TMI. I did get stitches after birth but that all healing fine and Iā€™ve had them checked and no issues. Iā€™m just a bit confused with my body and what it might be.

Following this thread because this is the best way I'd describe what it's felt like for me too (now 7 weeks postpartum and that "heavy" feeling is no longer daily but still surprises me from time to time) - hoping to have my stitches checked by the GP soon though the midwives assured me they were healing well and I didn't have any obvious swelling.

@Carmen such a strange feeling! Glad im not the only one who feels it haha

Itā€™s your pelvic floor muscle! Iā€™ve been having the same (5 weeks pp) and I spoke to my midwife about it, she said to keep going with the pelvic floor exercises as Iā€™ve been leaking wee a bit too, not like Iā€™m weeing myself but it just drips a bit out onto my pad šŸ˜‚ she said it will subside in a few weeks/months and is really common as your muscles will have weakened slightly from the vaginal delivery

I agree it's likely the pelvic floor, it'll be weak ATM so the exercises help
