Sweep

I had a sweep yesterday and had all of this, but still no baby 🙃 hope it's worked for you! x

I had a sweep on Monday and all these happened to me but I'm still pregnant 🫠 hope it works for you x

How far along were all of you in your pregnancy with your sweep? I'm doing mine at 40 weeks on Saturday and they are suggesting I do an induction if after 48hrs nothing happens

@Rachel I was 40 weeks for my sweep for my first and 41 weeks for my induction! I really don't understand why they are suggesting induction earlier and earlier! I've refused induction this time so I'm allowed to go to 41 weeks to try go natural with extra sweeps from 39 weeks, until I have to have a planned section if nothings started (I had oversensitive reaction and emergency section with my first)

Really good signs! Fingers crossed not much longer x

I had a sweep with my first baby at 40 weeks (05/09) in the morning and then my baby was born 40+2 (07/09) very early hours (02:26am) so there is still time 😊 I had cramps and a show in the beginning and then as time went on it became intense x

@Rachel the sweep didn't work for me as my body wasn't ready for labour so they took my in for induction at 41 weeks, I had an oversensitive reaction (none stop contractions, which got me to 4cm) but them my placenta ruptured so I had to go in for an emergency section within 30 mins of arriving at hospital, he was out!

These sound like really good signs. Very similar to my story and the slow start meant active labour only lasted 5.5 hours. Stay active and take a walk if you can, good luck!

Had a sweep on Tuesday had the same no baby yesterday have a 2nd sweep tomorrow x

Cramps have all went away and i managed to actually get 12hours sleep so I unfortunately don’t think it’s worked for me x

I had this on Sunday and still no baby hopefully it’s different for you

A sweep is literally them dislodging your cervical mucus so I don’t think getting a bloody show means much 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hope it happens for you soon though xx

@Rachel I'm 37&3days. Being induced Monday as baby is measuring big and diabetic on insulin and metaformin. Had 2nd sweep today at 3cm, still 1-2cm dilated as Tuesdays was hoping baby would come on own x

@Stacey how big are they measuring? My baby is measuring a bit big too but I'm wondering if I should still try natural. I've also got GD but was late diagnosed
