Have I made a mistake

My son has just turnt 6 months old his bed time is usually 8/8.30 he’s had 2 teeth come through and has not been a happy boy the last couple of days this morning he woke up at 7 and had his first nap at 9 he woke up at 1pm from this nap I tried to wake him up earlier but he just cried and went back to sleep 3 times so I left him to it when he woke up he was happy he then had his second nap at half 3 and woke up at 5 ( he normally has 3 naps a day) I decided there was no time for another nap if I wanted him to stick to his bed time I started his bed time routine at 7 and he just screamed which is unlike him so it was a quick bath change bottle and he fell asleep at 7.15 he’s in bed should I be worried at how tired he is and will it now effect his night ? (He doesn’t sleep through the night anyway) He’s normally a clockwork baby this is out the ordinary for me

I think if baby has been poorly and under the weather/more tired from teething then it's absolutely fine to just go with it and let his little body rest. If he doesn't sleep though the night anyway it's not like he's going to wake you up out of the ordinary! I'd just go with it 💙

@Sydni it breaks my heart seeing him like this he’s just not himself and it’s so upsetting I feel terrible that even attempted to get him ready for bed when he really just needed sleep I should of got him ready sooner or just let him nap and gone to bed later he wakes twice in the night for a bottle but up for the day at 7 I just didn’t want him to wake up for the day earlier and more night wakes so he’s even more unsettled teething is horrible he’s so unwell 😩🩵

It is horrible when they're not themselves but it sounds like you're doing the best job mama. We don't always get it right but we're all winging it and figuring out as we go along so don't doubt yourself you don't need to feel bad about any of that. Routines go out the window when little ones are poorly and that's absolutely ok. Sending love 💙

i feel like when babies are unwel/teething, it’s fine to let routines go out the window a little bit! they’ll get back to it when they’re feeling better. i hope he wakes up feeling better tomorrow! ❤️
