Depression

I suffered from depression before pregnancy and was taking medication but stoped while pregnant. My son is now 7 months, postpartum has hit me like a ton of bricks. I try get my husband to understand but he just doesn’t get it, he thinks I should be happy being a mum and I have a son what’s the issue. Is there anyway for me to make him understand

Tell him PPD can come at any point after having a baby. It's not something you can control. The brain does weird things. Some people will unfortunately just not get mental health.

@Helen I have tired so many times, he says he doesn’t understand how I can manage things one day and next I am losing my mind. He thinks I pick and choose when I have depression.

Honestly it’s hard no matter how much I express my emotions and how I feel. My husband just goes silent majority of the time and so it’s hard. Men will never understand and sometimes they simply don’t know what to do. If you know what helps you then let him know so he can help you. As for me — it’s hopeless because I don’t even know what helps me ):
