Pembury hospital

I gave birth in pembury in November and it was one of the best experiences of my life. We had our own room and the midwives were absolutely amazing! I was there for four days (3 days labour and 1 day recovery) and both myself and my partner were looked after so well! We were initially in the triage room and then transferred to the delivery suite once labour was fully established. The rooms were really spacious and they helped get a bed for my partner and we were both made comfortable. I wasn’t induced so can’t provide anything in that side but truly was such a good experience for both my self and my partner!✨

I agree with abi! I gave birth in Pembury in January, although I was originally really anxious to do so, and wanted the birthing centre, but there was too many risks with my pregnancy. The midwives were so incredible. I ended up having to go into theatre, and all the staff were incredible there too. I was induced at the beginning, and spent a total of eight days in the hospital, and they couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms are really spacious, and you get your own room, and each room has a wet room attached to it too. Lots of privacy.

We had an excellent experience with Pembury in May 2023, with my daughter. We were there 3 days in all (Thursday morning - Sunday lunchtime). Due to complications in pregnancy, I was advised against the birthing centre. And when my daughter didn’t get her act together herself, we were booked for induction at Pembury. I initially started induction on Thursday morning, but at first observations my daughter wasn’t responding well, and heart rate had spiked, so I was sent for an emergency Section. We had our own en-suite room (after birth), my partner had a bed, we were both offered cooked food for all meals, good care from nurses + all staff. There’s a small kitchen room, with fridges if you’d like to store your colostrum.

I gave birth at Pembury just over 2 weeks ago and I cannot fault them. I was there for a total of 5 days, I was induced on a Thursday and was on the antenatal ward until the Sunday and then the postnatal on the Sunday night/Monday after I had given birth. We had our own room the whole time which was really spacious in both wards, my husband bought a blow up mattress to sleep on. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, no question was silly, this includes all the midwife’s, doctors, staff in the operating theatre etc. My induction unfortunately failed so after 3 days I didn’t want to go through the whole induction process again as I had been having strong contractions but hadn’t dilated 1cm and baby’s movements had massively reduced so it was classed as a cat 3 emergency section. We had a great experience and would definitely want to give birth in Pembury again.

I had my little boy at Pembury in December and I’m really glad we went there! I also wanted to go to the birth centre but couldn’t. I was induced and was there for 6 days altogether. The midwives and other staff were all great and we were in a private room on every ward! You’ve got nothing to worry about ☺️ I would say take a blanket/pillow for your partner, they’ve only got mats or the chair for them to sleep on xx
