Witch Hazel on your pad helps or 'spritz for bitz' and adding salt to your bath will help healing. If you're in pain I wouldn't worry about using paracetamol when necessary
You could try ice pack pads. Frida Mom makes some excellent ones. They helped me a lot when I had my 2nd degree tear.
Frida mom do witch hazel pads which you put on over your sanitary pads which really help, make sure you're wearing the thick maternity pads as they're the most comfortable. Also unless you've been told otherwise you can take ibuprofen as well as paracetamol, it's very unlikely you'd get addicted to paracetamol. Take it every 4hrs to keep on top of any pain whilst you're still healing x
hmm, have you tried using ice packs down there? they can really help with swelling and pain, plus maybe some comfy cushions for sitting? Just looked it up on the 'Heal Baby Care App' and here's what it says: "Congratulations on your new arrival! It's understandable to feel discomfort after a second-degree tear, especially when it affects your daily activities. In addition to paracetamol, you can try using ice packs on the area for 15-20 minutes several times a day to reduce swelling and pain. Also, consider using a donut-shaped cushion when sitting to relieve pressure on the stitches. For gentle activities with your stepchild, consider low-impact options like reading together or doing simple crafts that allow you to rest while still engaging with him. How are you managing your recovery at home otherwise?
