Does your baby take a pacifier?

Anyone exclusively breastfeeds their baby and also have them use a pacifier? If so, which one?? This is my second baby and my first didn’t take a pacifier so he never used one. But this time around I don’t feel like being a human pacifier. Plus with a toddler, house, and wife duties I really don’t have the time. Please y’all pmo to a breastfed friendly pacifier 🙏🏾

Mine does! My breast need a break haha I like using the Philips Avent pacifiers. Just make sure you are using the right size for their mouth/age. The wider nipple helps their mouth form properly.

Yes. My 6 week old likes the avent ones. Didn't like the Nuk ones She does spit it out to sleep but does save me from being human dummy Every bub is different so please don't be disheartened if bub doesn't take the same.

my daughter loves mam, she won't take any with the more bulbous shape but mam are brilliant for it

She likes the mam ones and doesn't spit them out as much as the Boots ones

My daughter has taken one from about 6 weeks and she’s 5 months now. She uses it to get her to sleep or comfort herself if she’s crying. We use the tommee tippee breast like one and we’ve never had any issues

Yes my daughter is EBF and will take a paci 🩷 I also have a toddler and couldn't spend extra time being a human pacifier 😅😅 my daughter likes the Dr Brown's HappyPaci

I also recommend the Dr Brown's pacifiers!

My daughter likes mam and she uses those bottles too at daycare

We use the MAM newborn dummy at the moment and he likes it ☺️

Thank you everyone! I’ve been trying the avent and mam pacifier. I understand why he doesn’t like the avent one bc it looks nothing or feels nothing like my nipple. But the mam one should be okay which it is but he doesn’t keep it in his mouth and other times when he latches onto it, he makes a face as if he’s disgusted. I’m going to try the one that @Grainne suggested just because it looks more similar to a breast and I feel like he’ll accept it

My daughter has a mam dummy and has done since she was about 2 weeks old

@Acacia I know the face you mean! My little boy does the same sometimes but I just gently hold it there until he realises he can latch properly onto it and away he goes ☺️ x

we found the BIBS brand to be helpful! they do a sample pack where they have a mixture of dummies for you to try (diff teat shapes/sizes etc) - we found one that our boy liked from them.
