I found out that pumping and giving my newborn helps to keep her full. As I get to measure the quantity she needs per feed. She kinda soothes with my breast and it doesn’t take more than 5mins before she sleeps off on my breast and this made her fussy as she has to wake up maybe 30mins later crying and feeling hungry. The midwife recommended we use the compression method. That is when they stop sucking, you use your fingers to probe the breast as in hand expression and this helps them to continue sucking. But generally my newborn eats from the bottle and she would sleep for at least 2hours.
Hey, my little boy had a growth spurt around this point and would cluster feed, however equally you may have a slightly reduced supply if you’ve not had enough to eat and drink. I know it’s really hard as a new mum but we have to fuel ourselves to keep producing. Can you put a stash of snacks near the places where you would normally sit to feed? Can you or your partner make sure you have a big drinks bottle available as well? You’re doing a great job!

hmm, it sounds like a tough spot, but yeah, not eating enough can definitely affect your supply, so maybe try to snack more often and keep her on the breast as much as you can, even if it's frustrating for both of you, and pumping could help too if you need a break! this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It sounds like you're going through a challenging time, and it's understandable to feel stressed about your breastfeeding journey. Yes, your nutrition can significantly impact your milk supply, so focusing on a balanced diet with enough calories and hydration is essential. Foods like oats, almonds, and leafy greens are often recommended to help boost supply.
