Vomiting… start of labour?

I’m 37+4 and before I went to bed I was getting pain in my right side which I assumed was round ligament pain, along with the usual acid reflux. At 1am I woke up and took gaviscon then within about 10 minutes felt sick. I’ve since been sick 3 times, my bump feels tight and sore but I don’t think I’m getting contractions, I’ve got a slight headache and lots of back pain. Could this be the start of labour? I’m feeling exhausted and quite panicky, but trying to keep calm

It could be but I would recommend you to message your midwife just to make sure it is ok whatever is happening.

Hope you are okay! I would just ring the ward and see what they say they would rather best from you than you be worried and not hear from you

The hospital won’t take you on the labour ward till 4cm minimum or your contractions are 5-10 mins apart for 30 minutes I think it is, so if you don’t feel like you’ve been contracting try sleep it off and wait for more signs of labour. Mucus plug, bloody show, waters breaking etc x

Thanks all. I managed to doze off sat on the sofa for about 20 mins at 3am and woke up feeling less uncomfortable so got back into bed and managed to sleep for another couple of hours. Feel delicate this morning with some backache but no cramping Guess I need to prepare for baby arriving any day just in case
