For babies in own room

How do you know they're awake if they're quiet? When does their "wake window" start if you wake after them? Husband woke me leaving the house at 6:30, so I checked the monitor as usually baby has me up at 6! Baby was lying in his cot wide awake, just quietly looking around. Now at 6:45 I can hear him start making his chatting noises that usually let me know he's awake When would you class his ww starting? I might be overthinking this.... I will follow his sleepy cues for his naps anyway, just curious how people with their babies in a different room are knowing when baby has actually woken up?

I usually just hear him or if he’s woken up first it’s not for long before I wake up. His wake windows vary anyway so I just monitor how he is. If he’s happy in his crib amusing himself I think that’s a good thing :)

Usually when she wakes up, If she’s happy I leave her as she’s still resting and she’ll let me know when she’s ready to get up

I wouldn't worry about timing the wake window exactly. You know roughly when he was awake so follow sleepy cues for the nap time. I've never kept track of wake windows just have a general idea when he woke.....ISH 😂
