Dummy Help

My Lo is 8 weeks old breast fed but giving bottle of pumped milk a day. I would like her to take a dummy if possible as my first child did and found it a life saver. Any tips?? Things I have tried so far ..different kinds of dummy's, dipping the end in breast milk, giving it to her when calm, giving it to her when hungry and upset, stroking cheek for sucking reflex, tapping on the end for sucking reflex She just spits it out doesn't even suck really. Any tips would be appreciated

We introduced a dummy when going for a walk. After he is fed and clean, and put in the pram, we give him a dummy. Sometimes he still spits it out, but less often now. 5w old

Sorry a bit off topic but any tips on transitioning from breast to bottle? Mine is 6 weeks and I want her to have a bottle of expressed if possible so my partner can feed her in evening to give me a break…day 3 of trying and she’s just not taking it x

My son has been very similar, we tried to introduce one and he wasn’t taking it, I haven’t forced it, I just kept offering it now and then when he’s been upset, yesterday he took it properly for the first time 🤷🏻‍♀️. I never bothered changing the dummy type, just kept it consistent with the same one so he knew what to expect and could get used to it. It could be a fluke but that’s what’s worked for us xx

My 18 week old breast fed baby refused dummy from birth. Started thump sucking since 11 weeks and has since a few days more interest in the dummy 😀

Mine will not take a dummy same as you was a life saver with my eldest called her down straight away. I’ve tried all sorts of dummies but you’d think I was poisoning her 🤦🏽‍♀️
