Delayed Cord Clamping - Rhesus Incompatibility

Does anyone happen to know if blood type difference to the baby affects the ability to delay cord clamping at birth? I’m a negative blood type but baby is positive so I’ll be having anti-D injections soon… I am wondering if delayed cord clamping is a possibility in this case. I’ll of course be asking at that appointment but just thought I would ask as it’s not for a month. Thank you 🙏🏻

You can still have delayed cord clamping. Doesn’t affect rhesus incompatibility.

Nope. They delayed mine and do it as standard until the cord has stopped pumping in the NHS anyway and I was in the same boat as you.

I had delayed cord clamping and Rhesus Incompatibility, no problems ☺️

That’s great to hear, thank you ladies!
