We do

Babies pee very frequently, something like every 20 minutes, so it would be impossible (and expensive) to do it every time! Modern diapers are great at wicking moisture away from the skin so every couple of hours should be sufficient if it’s just pee. I change my baby at every feeding time, when I know she pooped, or at signs of discomfort which had us averaging a new diaper approximately every 2.5-3 hours!

I change diapers before or after every feeding(sometimes he brews something up while eating). If their diaper seems super bulky, I’ll change it then as well.

I change it before and after every feed, and after play time, if it's wet

There is no point of changing diapers, every time the baby pee Diapers are designed to absorb everything and last for at least 2-3 hours. There’s a line usually it’s yellow right in the middle of the diaper and it turns blue all the way from the back to the front of the diaper, if it’s full. Then the line turns blue. If it’s still yellow, that means diaper is not full yet. And obviously you need change it if the baby poops and you have to cause it bothers the baby, but not every time baby pee.

I change his diaper before every feed. If it seems to bulky (full) or if I notice he poop.

We do as frequently as possible. Every time he wakes up, before and after feeding, and then as needed during wake times. Obviously, we don't change dry diapers, and we don't wake them up to change them if sleeping. Just because it can and does absorb, we do not believe in letting urine sit against the skin if it is avoidable. We also have very early potty trained kiddos, and attribute that to keeping them dry and never sitting in a wet/soiled diaper and changing immediately. We also cloth diaper about 90% of the time and those require changing more often anyway.

i definitely do fs if i notice, i would do it ever 20 if you see they just peed after changing. i just check him ever hour if he’s relaxed and comfortable though
