@Jess, 18 thank you! I'll deffo ask for gas and air I think hahah, I'm worried I'll feel like I can't breathe 😅 okay I'll make sure I move about as much as I can thank you xx
They’re better than you think! My first was an emergency and it was still a lovely experience. My second was a planned one and again super lovely. You’re very present in the moment because you’ve nothing else to think of so you can really listen out for those first murmurs and cries and it’s honestly amazing. We were like giddy school kids listening like OH is that her. Nooo. OOOOOO is that her. Noooooo. THERE SHE IS! And honestly. What a bloody relief after having a baby and not having to worry to get up and pee. You press that buzzer to your hearts content through the night so the midwives come and help and just enjoy the lying in bed and resting and being pandered over. It’s lovely 😅
In my experience - I didn’t even know they’d started and next minute “ready to drop the curtain? Congratulation’s it’s a little girl”. I was so worked up prior and there was no need. It was a FABULOUS experience and good recovery 😍
Morning like Hayley. I didn't realise they had started. When I asked them they said yes the baby is about to be born! I wasn't looking forward to being awake when operated on but it was so much more pleasant than I imagined. I had my own music playlist which was played and helped to make it more relaxing (I also listened to the playlist before hand so I associated the music with calmness and relaxation)
c section aren't actually that bad, you can ask for gas n air when tbey do the needle and then after that they make sure you cant feel anything and you just move around alot lot then they show you your beautiful baby, recovery is kinda shit but you need to much sure to use you as much as possible of your tummy muscles otherwise they wont fuse back together
