Lots of seafood is more mild. I would just Google different types and ways to prepare. I really like scallops. I make a Mediterranean soup that has shrimp and scallops but I don't think it tastes like the sea.
I’m a very adventurous eater being Asian lol and all sorts of foods put in front me and told “just eat it” lol but some I can’t get past the taste/flavour of. NATO is one. (Japanese fermented crap lol) kombucha is another. Baklava is wayyy too sweet for me. Wine, I can’t get past the taste it’s an acquired taste for sure. Other than that I can eat nearly anything. (Including chickens feet heart liver, fish head, balut etc) I’ve heard of some people soaking their fish in milk to get rid of that ocean sea taste- try that?
It’s all depends on how you cook it too since it is fish it may already have a lot of saltiness so avoid seasonings that have salt added into them.
Coconut shrimp will solve everything 🙌
I trained myself to eat spicy foods I used to hate it and couldn’t stand any level of spiciness lol I love it now!!!
I’m Baltimore where we are known for our seafood, you have to be very careful where you purchase seafood. I will only eat seafood in certain states and at highly rated restaurants.
I think everything tastes fishy I want to love seafood too I just keep trying things one my 3rd try I finally like fried calamari, shrimp isn’t too bad too if it’s cooked
I’m the same, I cannot eat seafood as much as I’d love too. There’s some meals that looks and smell sooooo good but I just cannot lol I’ve tried & I’m just grossed out
I got myself to eat seaweed crisps. The first few times I really struggled as I can't eat fish/crustaceans 🤮 Even frog legs are too fishy for me. The texture, smell and taste are all wrong.
They say if you don’t like something, keep trying it. Apparently it takes up to 11 times of eating something to become accustomed to the taste and start to like it.
Trust me when I say this. If you are turned off to certain foods it's usually your body's way of letting you know that it's not really good for you to eat . As an example I never had a reason to eat liver or olives or anything that is really pickled(although some people love them and these are pretty healthy in moderation)and it turned out that I shouldn't eat it because of my blood type. Along with a list of other things including all red meat... And I should be eating more seafood and less chicken too . I suggest not to try to force yourself into eating things you don't like .. I never liked when other people made pizza with pineapple or eggplant Parmesan but it seems if I make it My Way I can eat it and enjoy it. If it's not for you, Then it's just NOT FOR YOU ! & That's ok.. lucky for you there are plenty of other yummy foods to eat! 😋
I said yeah but I’m lying. I don’t think I can get myself to eat what I don’t like at this point. I pretty much eat everything, so the few things I don’t eat I find too gross to ever eat I think.
The majority of seafood doesn’t taste like the sea. Catfish has a very gross, fishy taste, but that’s the only one I can think of. Crab legs that are fresh, are very tasty when you dip the meat in melted butter.
