What worked for us at this age: black out curtains, magic sleep suit, sound machine(s)
We cosleep at night (and when she was younger, our daughter would sleep in the bed for naps — before rolling and scooting, etc.). We began by having her take her day time naps in her crib. That might help get you started.
Second the sound machine! It’s a MUST. The louder the better for our girl. Also, we rock her and make sure she’s fully out before putting her in the crib. And keep the noisemaker on the whole time — check out the Hatch and the portable Hatch.
Sleep training? I think self soothing, independent sleep is super important after 6 mo and it's safer for them to sleep alone too once they start rolling. We got our son a sound machine, sleep trained him. Some crying involved but it's so relieving to have him sleep in his own space. Only coslept half the week (travel) til mo 5
We pushed the bed against the wall and I sleep like around him (in an L position) if that makes sense 😂
Floor bed!! Bed rails of any kind are not safe until 18m minimum. If you are unable to use a floor bed then you need to teach baby to get down safely when possible!
Floorbed and baby proof room or use a mesh bed rail and pack the gap between the rail and bed or put bed against the wall and keep baby on the inside but not too close to the wall and always sleep in C curl position x
