Full bed or crib? Can’t decide!!

Future first time mama to a July baby! I have nursery furniture coming tomorrow and the crib we are getting also turns into a full sized bed. Since baby will be sleeping in our room in a different bedside crib for the first months of her life, should we use the full sized bed feature for the nursery in case one of us needs a break and a separate room/bed to rest in? Then we’d turn it back into a crib once baby needs to start sleeping in nursery. Or should we just build it as a crib and keep it that way until she goes in the crib? I am 24 weeks and have no decision making skills anymore at this point! All advice welcome! First baby so I have no idea what we should start with and if we’ll even have the energy to switch it back into a crib lol! Thank you!😊

No don’t get used to sleeping separately

We actually slept separately sometimes in the beginning so at least one person was getting sleep. It worked for us, but we had a second bedroom. Even as an almost 2 year old when she goes through a sleep regression we take turns sleeping separately when the baby ends up sleeping in our bed.

I'd do crib to start so you still have it as an option for naps as well

I would put it together as a crib.

Thank you guys for all the advice!

I have my daughter's crib set up next to me in our room. My husband is a light sleeper so he sleeps in her room as we found it was better if at least one of us was getting a good sleep. If she had a bad night he would be able to take over during the day so I could nap. I'm breastfeeding so there wasn't much he could do anyway. Do what feels right for you both.
