Should i still be waking to feed overnight ???

5 weeks old and over birth weight. Feeding well in day plenty of wet dirty nappies. Nobody ever told me to stop waking overnight, but friends have told me that they have been told to stop when over birth weight by midwives etc. I want to sleep longer lol but will do what’s best for baby

Yeah, don't need to once past birth weight

If they wake up feed them if they don't wake up leave them. My baby stopped waking up for bottles at 7 weeks old been that was ever since he's 7 months now. Enjoy ur sleep mama

Great news thanks!! Night night x

Also 5w but we stopped waking him up at 3w as he was gaining weight and well above birth weight. He still wakes up once or twice during the night and we feed on demand, but there have been nights where he sleeps 6-7 hours and it's the best.

My daughter is 5 weeks and 8 lb 13oz (4kg) (born 6lb 10 (3kg)) and we stopped waking her in every 3h (I’m giving her max 6h sleep but usually she is awake after 5h). I went to the HV yesterday and she said that I have to wake her up in every 3-4h 🤔 She is gaining weight, still on 25th percentile from birth, I don’t know what’s the problem. She is formula fed. I’m not planning to wake her up that often, but I don’t understand why would I if she is happily sleeping?

@Zofia oh so confusing! 🫤
