Baby rolled off bed

Please no judgement. I already feel like the most awful person. I placed my 6 month old in the middle of my bed, which I always do when getting ready. I stood up to grab something off the dresser which is less than 1m away and as I turned back around she was falling to the floor. She landed pretty flat on her front. She cried for about 30 seconds and then was back to her usual laughing, smiley self. She has no bumps or cuts and seems okay in herself. What do I do? Does she need to go to a&e? Is someone going to take her away from me? I feel so guilty. I'm meant to keep her safe and I failed

If ur worried or just need someone to tell u everything is OK just take them to ur nearest urgent treatment center. That's what I did was seen n had him checked over within the hour. Ur not the first parent and u won't be the last breathe she's OK and the doctors will just clarify that for u. I was worried I was gonna be yelled at but everyone was super supportive n just said these things happen x

You didn't fail it was a mistake, call your health visitor or 111 and see what they think. It's so hard being a parent don't beat yourself up! X

Hope your baby is feeling better, take her to a&e to get her checked out and also for your peace of mind. My little one is starting to move a little I place lots of pillows around him. Give this a try. Don't worry these things happen I know how heart breaking it must feel though xx

This happened to me back in February when my little girl was 4.5 months 💀 I felt so bad because we had such a good day, just ready to go to bed I popped her down for 2 seconds while I moved her bouncer to the side and BONK on the floor she went.. never rolled in her life before this 😭. But exact same as you, she cried for about 30 seconds and then started smiling and laughing straight after. I didn’t take her to A&E because my bed is low to the floor and she didn’t have no bumps etc, I monitored for the next 24 hours and she was absolutely fine. Someone can judge me for this, idc - but I was reluctant to take her to A&E because the same happened to my friend 3 years ago and the hospital called social services on her 💀💀 it was just unnecessary stress I didn’t need while already going through a tough time - but I read a lot of advice on the internet, and kept an eye for tell tale signs.. ultimately the hospital would tell you to do the same if there’s no visible injury xx

It sounds like she’s going to be ok! Usually the fact that they stop crying is a good sign. No bumps or cuts and no vomiting, no favoring certain sides/parts of body is also a good sign. I would check her pupils and make sure they’re not dilated (sign of concussion). If the fall was from less than 3 ft onto a padded/carpeted surface, she’s probably going to be ok. But I agree with others that if she’s acting off or if you just want peace of mind, take her in! Otherwise monitor closely for 24 hours. Trust your gut, mama!
