Mom guiltšŸ˜ž

My baby girl is 4 months old today, I was doing so good with breastfeeding!! I was over producing, but my husband decided to give baby a bottle and my supply dropped and now I’ve been relying on the formula because it is ā€œeasierā€. I’m still feeding her from the boob throughout the night, her last feed and her first feed of the day. But I feel so guilty that I’m not feeding every time from the boob. I only was able to feed my first for 4 months, and it KILLED me when I had to give her formula because she would not take my milk anymore due to me being on birth control, I literally cried for 2 weeks while formula feeding after I stopped breastfeeding. šŸ˜ž I’m just so sad that this is happening again and tbh I’m upset that my husband didn’t support me more in my journey of breastfeeding.😭 He doesn’t even ask if I’ll feed her, he just goes straight to a bottle every single time.😭

Hey mama, even one feeding for baby is doing wonders for baby girl!! Don’t feel bad! Every ounce matters

If you want to keep giving your baby breast milk you could pump and have it prepped so it’s easier for your husband to feed her?

@Michelle I don’t produce enough throughout the day to keep her full because my supply dropped.

Your supply will increase the more you latch. So just start latching more and less formula.

I got to that point and would just collect what I did pump Maybe after every 3 pumping sessions I would get one bottle but that was at least one more breast milk bottle she would get But yes it’s a hassle! Don’t feel guilty at least she’s getting some throughout the day and even if you decide to stop at one point the fact that she received any amount of breast milk is still so good !

you CAN combo feed!!

I’ve been formula feeding since the second week… my hormones dropped and supply went down to literally nothing- she wasn’t gaining weight and upset all the time- fast forward now 4 months later I have a super healthy baby who sleeps 12 hours through the night.- formula isn’t the enemy lol and it’s not a bad thing for some things to be ā€œeasierā€ā€¦ instagram And social media has demonized it, but it can be a lifesaver for a lot of us… try not to be so hard on yourself- 10 years from now your baby isn’t gonna be asking you if she was breast or formula fed… I’m not trying to make you feel Bad- I went through a ton of shame about not being able to- but I’m over it now and sick of how people made me feel…now I kinda just laugh it off- find a good high quality European formula, preferably goat.. she will Be fine
