LO suddenly rejecting one side while feeding

Has anyone experienced their LO suddenly rejecting one boob? In the last two weeks my 6 month LB won't feed from my right side unless really sleepy. In the day he just scratches and pushes it away while arching his back. I'm struggling to feed him enough especially before bed even though I have a boob that is full.

My daughter always preferred my right side and would sometimes refuse my left. Have you tried nursing him in a different position?

My LB is doing this with both my boobs 😫

Does that breast have a different flow to the one your baby prefers? Mine prefers the left because the right has a much faster flow. I have to hand express the right breast a bit before he will latch. With the back arching, check his latch, he might be swallowing air.

Yes :( thankful for all the tips here about trying other positions. I’m also curious about using the pump to start letdown on the ‘evil’ boob and then letting LO latch on.

My LB would protest my left side and it was a flow issue. My right was slower than my left. I usually had to side lay for him to take the left side as that would slow the flow down enough for him.

To get my daughter to eat from the right side I have to hold her football style! She can’t turn her head to the right as easily but the chiropractor has been helping

@Chloe I started calling mine loser boob (slacker boob syndrome) and if she will latch, I get her to feed off that aide first but if not, get a good pump out of it

I've had this with both sides. I wondered if it was to do with teething. She would feed from the boob she didn't like if I was stood up 😄
