Unsure

I am 4.5 months postpartum. I have in the last week been feeling a random pinching pain around my incision. It’s just happens sporadically. I press down on the area when lying on my bed and I don’t feel pain. The incision itself has looked like it has healed up well. However I have had moments where my toddler will touch my stomach just above my c section and it hurts. But when I press on it when I lay down no pain. I have mentioned this to my doctor. She looked at my incision and said it looks great. But that is all she did. I’m wondering if I have overdone it with my exercises or something. I have always gelt a bit of pain when touched by my toddler since I had me c section. Have any of you experienced this random pain at this stage? I feel like such a dag for asking. I have never had surgery before so I have no idea what is normal/ common.

Look into scar massage. If you search it on tik tok gives lots of info. It sounds like scar tissue is stuck together but can be sorted with scar massage! You can do it yourself or there are places that you can book in for c section scar massages x

I've had 4 c sections I also get this my last one was 6 months ago you're still healing it can take up to a year to completely heal but if you are generally concerned maybe just speak to a gp x

I went to my doctors for the same thing around 4.5 months. She checked me over and after a quick conversation thought I was just over doing it. I started limited my walks to 30 mins a day and taking more rest and it’s stopped hurting

I had it too, your skin is stretching that what my doctor said

I still experienced pain up until 2 years after

Thank you ladies. That is extremely helpful! I am so thankful for this group. I had such an awesome go that is really helpful but she left the practice I go too and I haven’t been able to get where she has gone too. The gp I spoke to about this literally just checked my incision and left it at that which I feel isn’t helpful at all. I had stopped exercising because I felt I had over don’t it and freaked out because I was told if I don’t heal well and get pregnant again I can have a uterine rupture which in all honesty has freaked me out. We do want more children.

I just spoke with my cousin who is a midwife (should have asked her earlier) and she says this far out would not be damage and that I need to gently massage around the area of the scar. If this helps anyone else. 😊
