I'm between the 5-6 mark post c section and I'm the same. Your stomach is healing from the trauma of being cut open, there's many layers which need to heal. Mines still sensitive but I've also had issues with it opening up so I had the added sensitivity and soreness. It's completely normal, but if you worry further there's no harm in booking an appointment x
My scar is absolutely fine and only got minimal discomfort. It’s just my lower stomach is so painful and just didn’t know if it was normal as that is what is causing the most pain. I can’t walk for too long as it hurts. I’ll give it another week or so and then look at a drs appt if it hasn’t eased.
@Lisa it’s the worst isn’t it?! Have you found anything that helps?
Hiya I’m 2 months post c section now and it was like this for me too, it does get better mine now feels lightly bruised, it’s where they pull that part of the belly up in the surgery. I have numb areas too, it’s nerve damage but heals over time, a belly band will massively help keep pressure on it but that’s about it xx keep taking paracetamol and ibuprofen for any swelling xxx
@Rosie thank you for the reassurance. That completely makes sense what you said tbh. I was that weirdo that watched the full surgery on the light and I remember saying ‘that’s going to hurt when the pain meds wear off’🙃 I was going to look into a belly band just to help but I wanted to check that the pain was normal first😂thank you xx
I have been trying to keep on top of my pains meds and also a hot water bottle has been helping ive been trying not to over do it but its hard with a newborn and a toddler x
I could have wrote this too!
