Contractions

Well my first came so quick that the midwife said straight away to me. So I guess it depends xxx

Usually when you’re having 3 lots of contractions every ten mins lasting at least 45 seconds. But every trust seems to give differing advice. Your best bet is to call triage with your timings when you start having a few of them and see what they say.

Personally I don't think it matters. If they're becoming unbearable then call

I rang when the pain really notched up and become for frequent. I'm glad I did, I was 5cm and while waiting for the anaesthetist to sort out my epidural, she came flying out in 3 pushes. Always ring if in doubt and follow your gut xx
