Symptoms before loosing your mucus plug??

I was having the same I went into triage for it as it wouldn’t stop with paracetamol am now 39+4 but going in to have him today , I have been loosing my mucas plug over the past 4/5 weeks in bits if your worried definitely call into triage they had a lot at my cervix gave me codine to take and said if it gets worse then to come back in as my cervix was soft but wasn’t dilating I was 37+4 aswell when it happened xx

@Beth I am booked in to have her next thursday by being induced. I haven’t had any sign of the plug going yet but the pain is quite bad how long did you wait before you called triage?

Got to the point couldn’t handle it as I have a one year old too so I had t stop what I was doing with her t breathe through them xx

@Beth oh okay then. i’ll keep an eye . I am trying to sleep through them but they are quite intense xx

You don’t always notice losing your mucus plug so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Before this pregnancy I’d never even seen any of mine. I’d time the contractions with an app so you can report frequency to triage when they get intense enough to call xx

@Gaby Oh that’s great thank you did yours start with just period like cramping or?

My first did, yeah. My second started with my waters going and then the cramping/contractions came. It’s funny cos everyone says to you you’ll know when it’s happening but I think in the early stages (before the intensity ramps up) you really don’t know if it’s just weird little pains or if it’s the start. Just trust your gut and ring when you need to xx

@Gaby Yeah cause everyone has said about you’ll know. But i think these are coming and going every like 15 minutes x

Sounds still quite early. Can’t hurt to let triage know. They’ll tell you how close together they need to be before you head in xx

@Gaby Yeah i have started my timer aswell. Anything else i should look out for in terms of symptoms? sorry it’s my first so a bit stressed lol xx

I just had a baby .. started with period pain and the waters started leaking slowly with blood. Went for check up at triage and had a baby 10 hrs later 🙈

@Tanya Congratulations just feels like a really intense period rn. How long did you leave it till u called triage x
