Hair loss!!

Hey mums 😩 just need a bit of reassurance that I am not the only one losing soo much hair 🥹 it’s literally covering the house like bloody cobwebs and every time I brush my hair a good hand-full comes out… anyone else experienced this? (13 weeks pp)

Honestly I lost half my hair I swear - it slowed down for me personally around the five and half month mark and is now growing back x

Same as Charlotte, I lost so much! I can send you a picture after one of my showers if it will help you see you’re not alone 😅 eventually it did stop falling out and now I’ve got the funny regrowth stage happening

I'm 16 weeks pp and exactly the same 😭 hair all over the house, handfuls coming out whenever I brush it / shower etc even got two bald patches now at the front by my temples 🙈 Apparently it starts around 3months pp due to the drop in estrogen and is meant to slow down / stop between 6 - 12 months 😥

Same as Charlotte, I lost so much but slowed down around 5mpp and is now growing back. I have a crazy amount of baby hairs.

Yes from 4 months PP until 5 months I would say. Baby is 8 months now and it is all back to normal and has regrown

From 3-6 months I lost about half my hair but it did grow back, and now I’m pregnant again so I’m expecting to lose it all over again 😅 The postpartum joys!

My hair fell out for a straight year after birth. Once my hair stopped falling out, I'd gotten pregnant again 😂

Yes still experiencing this almost 7m PP 🙃 but I have the thickest Greek hair so I don’t mind losing a bunch 😂 just annoying to brush

I'm 8 months pp and it's still coming out in clumps...at this point I have no idea how I have any left

11m pp and did lose hair, planning on taking biotin supplements and oil my hair to see if anything changes.

I had to clean my shower drains and hairbrush out numerous times a week - it was ridiculous. It’s slowing down now (4.5ish weeks post partum) thank goodness

I lost a lot of hair with my second born. It went on for months and months. By the time my second born was 12 months it started to grow back. But I recently went through it again, turns out it was a combination of low vit D, low folate and depression. So definitely go to your GP incase that’s a factor too. After 3 months of taking vit D and folate my hair is back to normal.

@Hayley sorry to jump in on this, hope that's okay do you mean folic acid?

Don’t you worry hun I have lost so much hair! It’s eased up a bit now but I could literally run my hand through my air and have loads stuck in my fingers!

@Samina yes I do lol, I always get them mixed up. Just had to check on my medication to see what I was taking 😂

@Hayley fab thanks will start those too !

Omg yes T_T I cut my hair short because I was tired of seeing my long hairs stuck to every surface. I mainly see the hair loss near my baby hairs. I wonder if Biotin vitamins would help

This started for me at 3 months PP and it was shocking how much hair was falling out per day, just everywhere! It stopped falling out around 5 months PP but I also started taking Biotin at that time.

My second caused extreme hair loss 😭 around 4 months PP. I started using biotin gummies every morning and switched my shampoo/conditioner to biotin heavy and replenishing products. It did get better in a few months!

Mine started really bad around 3months pp and got really bad by 5th month and then slows down closer to 6months! Hang in there ❤️

Thank you ladies!! 😫 so sorry we are all going through it with the hair loss but I am definitely relieved I’m not the only one 🤣

My little boy is coming up 15months and I'm still losing a lot of hair. Thankfully I've got thick hair so it's not noticeable but man alive it gets everywhere!

@Sammi have you got any blood works done? You might e deficient in something that’s causing it to continue so long. Iron is a common culprit for this.

@Sammi i had similar, i had vit D and folic acid deficiencies. So it’s worth getting checked.

@Samina it did take about 3 months before I noticed a full difference so bare that in mind.

@Hayley I'll try and get an appointment.
