@Julia I will look into YouTube exercise. I love swimming but my partner is at work for 12hrs a day so it’s tricky with the baby. People have said that my body will tell me if I’m over doing so hopefully that’s true🙈 I feel fine in myself because the scar is healed but obviously have no idea what the inside is like.
I’m 4 months pp too and I’m running again, just 5km jogs to start building up my stamina again. I also do HIIT workouts on apple fitness. After my first section I was going to mummy and baby yoga at 6 weeks and back running at 8 weeks. I had no restrictions as I was healed xx
I actually used ChatGPT to advice me on the recovery and workout options after C-section. I’m only 4 weeks pp, but I am looking forward to getting my body back. So for 3-4 months after it says you can do yoga, stretching and gentle pilates exercises. NHS has YouTube videos with pilates as I remember. Walking. When I was 19, I lost a lot of weight by dieting + walking for 2 hours daily. For the belly there is an exercise called vacuum (look up on YouTube), my sister has amazing flat belly and she did this after giving birth (allowed after 6 weeks check up if there is no concerns from a doctor). Has to be done before eating or drinking in the morning. After 6 months if there are no issues, you can go back to any exercises you enjoy. I think YouTube is the great resource and it’s free. But regarding losing weight - it’s mostly about food. Meal planning is my personal choice. Good luck 🍀
Sorry for the long message above. Try to play with ChatGPT - it can create a workout plan and meal plan specifically for you situation. And it’s free!
I would ask the GP to check your thyroid function (simple blood test) just in case it’s slipped post birth. Can be a reason it’s hard to loose weight, no point in fighting a loosing battle!
hmm, I think it really depends on how you're feeling and what your body can handle, but gentle stuff like walking or postpartum yoga could be a good start, and there are tons of free at-home workout videos online! this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It's great to hear that you're motivated to improve your mood and self-esteem through exercise! Generally, after a C-section, many women can start light exercises like walking, stretching, and gentle core workouts around 4-6 weeks postpartum, but it's always best to listen to your body. Since you're 4 months post-surgery, you might consider starting with low-impact activities like walking, yoga, or Pilates, which can help strengthen your core and improve your mood.
Around 4 months I started to go swimming and YouTube aerobics and I felt find honestly if you are happy with how you feel with the exercise you will be fine as long as it’s not hurting
