Elective C-section

I’m due 11/5 and I’m still waiting to hear back a date, I’ve signed the consent forms at my last diabetic clinic (got GD) and that was about 3 weeks ago 🥴 I’ve got another appointment next week so hoping I’ll get a date then!🤞🏻

It depends on the hospital. My hospital doesn't give you a date for an elective until Thursday the week before

Yes, it seems to be different depending where you are. I had an appointment in January to discuss c section and received a date in the post the following week.

Due 8th May. I had my ‘mode of delivery’ appointment today and was given a date for the section if I decide to go down that route.

I was told by my midwife that I would get a date through at 36 weeks which is from tomorrow but I wondered the same thing!! Xx

Yes I have mine booked for 39 weeks, I had a consultant appointment at 32 weeks and it was booked then x

I am due 24/05 and I received my date early March x

I am 36weeks and 5 days.. had my birth choice appointment last week.. waiting for the date.

I’ve had mine since 20 weeks however this is my 2nd section so got it booked in early with my consultant. With my first it was around 33/35 weeks I got my date, and then they rang week before and brought it a day forward

Due 26 May but I already had my c section booked at my 20th week appt as this is my second baby and my first was a c section. For my first then the c section date was booked at 36th week appt

Im due 13th may and been given my section the day before on the 12th which i reckon will be brought forward cos hes measuring big and im huge!

@Rachel my hospital have stated this time and last it doesn’t get brought forward just cause babies big. My babies over 99th percentile. Just told only if there’s a problem will it be sooner

@Jess i was supposed to of been booked in at 39 weeks but no one looked at my due date, even got a letter the other day for a growth scan after the date of my section date so no ones paying attention! My consultant said theres a possibility it would be brought forward due to his size and prev pregnancy my lg was measuring big and had her at 38 weeks

I’m 34 weeks currently, but at my last consultant appointment at 32 weeks, they asked me what day I wanted in week 39 and booked me in there and then. I was really happy they gave me a choice. It seems to massively differ depending on each hospital trust.

I had my appointment today I am 34 weeks and will receive the date around 37 weeks. With my first daughter o got the letter a week and a half before with the date and I had to have a c section as she was breach.
