Frank Breech

Hi girls, I’m 34 + 2 and my midwife says she thinks baby is Frank breech. She’s said there’s time for baby to turn but if still the same at 36 weeks they will probably book me in for a c section. Is anyone else in the same boat and has anyone’s babies done the same and then turned ok on their own? Any help or advise much appreciated ❤️

Yep 🤦‍♀️ I’m going to try an ECV first then go for a section if it’s unsuccessful. I’ve just pumped up my ball so going to try that and some positions from “spinning babies” xx

Spinning babies has worked both times for me thankfully so maybe try that and get on a gym ball. The forward inversion is hard work at this stage but seemed to be most effective for me! I have heard lovely things about planned sections though so if they don’t turn try not to worry ❤️

Have they said when you would have that? I’m worried about the ECV as you hear allsorts 🤦‍♀️ I’ve just bought a ball. I’ll give that a try too. Thank you xx 😘

@Louise oh that’s really good to hear thank you 🥰 I’m managing the inversion but feel like it’s not doing much. Did you feel it when they turned? Do you remember what week yours turned head down? X

Yes I turned my nose up when my consultant said about it and he said it’s better to try than have the section and I agreed! ECV will be 37 weeks as I have an induction booked for 38 weeks x

@Jodi ok fair enough. Hope baby gets in there first 🤞🤗 thank you for your help xx

My last was breech at 36 weeks so they booked me for a c section, got there for the section at 38+5 and she had turned around! I didn't even feel it 🤣 i was induced the next day instead x

@Nicola oh wow 🤩 good girl!! I need mine to do that lol. Thank you for sharing your positive experience. I need to hear those 🤞🥰 xx

Hi my baby was frank breech, until went for scan today and to discuss ECv or planned section, and he's head down now and he's on bigger side and managed to turn, I'm 36+2 he was breech on last scan 2 weeks ago so turned between then and now but i think last few days with pressure I'm getting. Booked in for induction at 39 weeks so will be April baby now I think , not long for us all xx

@Nichola thank you for sharing. So pleased to hear baby has turned down. Hope all goes well. Not long now 🤗 xx

Weirdly I felt when they went breech but not when they went head down again! I had a slight feeling they might have as there can be a bit of a pressure change lower down but it wasn’t as obvious to me. My daughter went head down at 33 weeks and my son has now went head down at 34 weeks after doing the spinning babies exercises. However I have a friend who was booked for a section and then literally they checked her over before hand and her baby had flipped at 38 weeks so she had a vaginal birth! X

Also my baby is currently measuring almost 7lbs at 34 weeks so it’s not impossible for bigger babies to flip! X
