I had a successful ECV 😊 and I would do it again if I needed to. It is uncomfortable and painful but only for a few minutes and then it's all done! He stayed the right way after that and I gave birth naturally a few weeks later 😊
I had an ECV and it was unsuccessful and also a horrendous experience. I would prefer to have another planned c-section than an ECV 🙈
I’ve been in this position twice, and I can say each time was different. I guess it really depends on baby. My second baby was breech. I had a successful ECV at 39 weeks and baby was born naturally at 40 weeks. It was painful but so worth it and like @Jessica said, I would do it again to avoid a C-section. My 3rd baby was also breech, but when they attempted to do an ECV, she wouldn’t budge. Turns out her umbilical cord was wrapped twice around her neck, so she couldn’t move much. I am thankful the c section went great and my baby was safe, but I can definitely say that recovery was harder with a c section since I’ve now had my 4th baby also c section. If you can attempt and get a successful ECV and birth naturally, great. If not, you will at least know you tried, if it doesn’t work. I will say, to just go with doctor’s advice and your gut feeling, and hopefully it will all go well! Sometimes doctors know best…
I had one and it was successful. I used my hypnobirthing and really wouldn’t describe it as painful - just a lot of pressure. I’d do it again if I needed to.
I have ECV and i was 3cm already and that night I went back in and was 7cm. It was soooo painful I had marks and bruises all over my belly.
Thanks everyone for your replies ❤️ It seems like people have such variable experiences. I'm going to think about it over the next few days and try to do some of those stretches to get him to spin 😅 x
