Emergency c section but just eaten

I wasn’t allowed to eat after they started me on the hormone drip but they gave me Omeprazole in a liquid form while I was getting prepped for my emergency section

They are there behind you with bowls incase you need to be sick and also they can put anti sickness into your cannula. I didn't have an emergency one but it wasn't planned either but luckily cas I was on the drip I wasnt allowed food anyway

I fasted before hand but felt nauseated during the procedure - anaesthetist adjusted something and that feeling went away instantly

I literally ate a 3 course meal the nigjt i had mine obviously wasnt expecting an emergency c section but I did i was fine

I went into labour 10 days before my elective, went to the hospital at 5pm after a day of work with breakfast and lunch. They just asked what I ate, weighed me and the anaesthetist made the call on what I’d need. I was given omeprazole and he kept his eye on me. I was never sick or nauseous

It's okay, I had eaten a ton before my emergency c section because it had to happen and the fact I'd eaten couldn't be changed, the staff weren't bothered, I wasn't, don't worry about it

i had an emergency c section and had eaten less then an hour before it happened, i felt sick but just asked for lots of anti sickness while i was having the c section and has some after and i wasn’t sick at all, the only time i was sick was when i was given some morphine after

You just let them know and they will manage the risk. They will also give you an anti-emetic. It happened to me. I had a McDonald's like an hour before I went into labour and needed an emergency c section 😅

I was sick during my c section as I haemorrhaged and they had to inject me with ergometrine! But was honestly not bad at all. The nurses and doctors are incredible it any situation!

They just watch you more closely because you're more likely to vomit.

I puked during my c section, before I could even say that I felt sick they were there with bowls helping me 🤍 then they injected me with and sickness and I was fine. From feeling sick to feeling better it was literally a min or two x
