I had an emergency c-section with my first and I want a VBAC this time around. From my conversations, the c-sections are harder the more you do. The doctor has to cut through scar tissue and the risk of rupturing increases.
Not first hand experience but my friend had an emergency c section for her first and it was really rough. She had a planned c section for her second and she said it was much better and recovery was quicker. She thinks it’s because she was in full labour last time with contractions whereas this time it was before labour started. Hope that gives some reassurance!
I had an emergency c section with my first after 24 hours of labor and recovery was so rough. I’m so torn on what to do this time around. I’ve heard the second c section is easier because it’s planned but I’m also curious if I could do a vaginal birth and not sure how much time off my husband will have this time around
Thanks for the feedback… I’m just stressed I’ve read so much about Vbac and it scares me but I don’t really want another c section 😫😫
If it's any comfort, I've had 6 vbacs since my c-section, and I'm doing another with my current baby girl.
Aww ok! Congrats on your new baby 💜 that does help to hear that honestly. Thank you
I would get a second opinion. I had a cesarean with one and have had vaginal births since then.
